Benoit Franquet, better known as Pole Folder, is a Belgian electronic musician and live club performer. A classically trained musician (as a trumpet player and guitarist), he played in various orchestras, jazz, and rock bands before delving into electronic music production. His work on the project ‘Ragged Life’ led to the release of classics within the Belgian dance scene. A former protégé of British star DJ John Digweed, Franquet rose to prominence in 2001 as a DJ and producer at the forefront of the European progressive house movement. Since then, he has evolved into a multi-instrumentalist and live performer of melodic techno, tech house, and deep house. His tracks have been featured on hit US TV shows such as Nip/Tuck and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, the Greek show Chara, and commercials for major brands like the BBC. Pole Folder & CP’s ‘Apollo Vibes’ was featured in the US movie Stark Raving Mad, starring Seann William Scott. Additionally, Benoît Franquet has composed music for Belgian commercials (including Creaset, Coca-Cola, and James Bond) and recently produced a full soundtrack for the BDS Team Gaming Channel on Twitch.
